Security Policy
We realise how important it is to securely store any information that you provide. Cookability maintains high levels of security in accordance with PCI DSS standards.
Our web site uses a high grade SSL encryption certificate on your personal information as it is sent from your computer to our servers. Thawte Inc (US) has checked and validated www.cookability.biz to use this certificate.
Our dedicated SSL certificate will 'turn on' your Blue Address Bar if you use the very latest web browsers. This tells you that everything your computer sends to us is secure and trusted.
If you use an older browser you can still tell whether a page is secure as ‘https’ will replace the ‘http’ at the front of the www.cookability.biz in your browser address window. A small locked padlock may also appear in the bottom bar of your browser window.
Credit card information is not held in our databases, the transaction is processed securely, in real time, by a company called SagePay. However, if SagePay is unavailable, we may store your card details for a short time which allows us to defer processing.
If you have registered with your bank, which we recommend you do, we fully support MasterCard SecureCode and Verified by Visa.
The information that you supply is processed by SagePay to detect fraudulent card use. Sage Pay is registered under the Data Protection Act and information is transmitted to them over a secure and encrypted channel during the checkout process.
