Delivery Information
The cost of delivery is based on speed, weight and destination of the consignment as well as the value of the order and the amount of packaging. You can check our delivery charges here.
Competitive prices and a fair delivery charge is a rare combination that is hard to beat.
Typically, for delivery to most of the UK, the cost would be between 99p and £3.50. Larger, heavier items would more likely be between £4.95 and £8.95 but could be more for very heavy consignments or remote locations. The shopping basket displays the delivery cost as you add items.
As value, weight and destination of the consignment is known a fair price is offered, rather than imposing a sloppy 'one price fits all' or hidden handling charges. This offers you, the customer, more choice and better value as we can keep our prices very competitive.
We offer free delivery to most areas of the UK when you spend more than £200. To support our local community and 'Shop Local' principles, we offer free delivery in an area of approx. 40 square miles around our retail shop.
Small orders, less than £10 attract a slightly higher delivery charge, in proportion to their value, to ensure that prices remain competitive for all. This is equates to approx £0.49p.
Unless we are very busy, orders placed before 10am during the week are despatched the same day (orders that come in later than this may also be despatched same day, depending on how busy we are), subject to holidays etc. We also despatch Royal Mail items on Saturday morning. Super Savers are sent to the distribution hub daily and fed into the Royal Mail network weekly.
Estimated Delivery Times and Service Levels are given at checkout but are never guaranteed. We make every effort to deliver goods within the estimated timescales, however delays are occasionally inevitable and beyond our control.
Sometimes we may use a different carrier from the one you choose at checkout. Carriers may call to obtain delivery directions, especially in rural locations. Please ensure that you supply a correct postal address. You can verify it here. Most carriers will not compensate for lost packages where the delivery address is invalid or incomplete.
