Notes
Unglazed reusable ceramic pie weights are used when pre-baking piecrust and tart or flan shells to keep the pastry from shrinking or forming bubbles. The ceramic material is an excellent conductor of heat, which ensures even cooking and holds the shell in place during baking and cooling process. Supplied in a glass airtight clip seal storage jar. Watch the delivery charges because these tubs are quite heavy to post.
